In the process of cultivating suspension cells, we need to observe and analyze the growth of cells, so that the environment of cell culture is regulated and the growth of cells is controlled in the direction that a researcher expects. The majority of medical school laboratories used to observe the change of cell growth by visual observation. It is clearly that this approach is limited strongly by individuals, and the accuracy is not high, and this can't mine the potential information from the observations. With the rapid development and maturation of the computer technology and image processing technology, it is increasingly important to use computer image processing technology for quantitative analysis for the cell images. In order to get a better quantitative analysis for the cell images, in this paper we use digital image processing and analysis technique to process and analyze the suspension cells' images offered by School of Medicine Laboratory of Jinan University. After image pre-processing, image segmentation and identification of cells, we focus on the information of cell's parameters that we derive in the process of image processing. These cells parameters are the cell size, cell perimeter, form-factor of cells, and mean-intensity. The form-factor of cells and mean-intensity can reflect the vitality of cell growth directly. And twenty real images are used to analyze these parameters. We try to find the distribution of cell sizes, cell perimeters, form-factors and mean-intensities of cells in the images. The interrelation of cell parameters is mainly concerned with in our research works. We believe that the data mining of the cells' images and the quantitative analysis of the cell parameters will be useful for the cell cultivation and research of the medicine college.
