With the rapid development of micro-electronics technology, communications technology, control technology and semiconductor technology, embedded microprocessor has been more widely used. And industry, scientific research and other areas continuously improve the requirements for intelligent control equipment. At present most of the existing domestic testing press, hot press are all manually operated, or use time relays, switches, etc. as control elements. But it's difficult to accurately set pressing curve and to realize ideal working process, the product performance is difficult to control. Some of the more advanced equipments use PLC controllers and PC to communicate to realize automatic control functions such as data processing, online control and display and so on. But this control method and structure of the work have a higher costs and this technology has much restriction.This paper introduces a design method of a new-type test Press intelligent control system based on the AVR microcontroller. The main controller is based on microprocessor with the combination of external expansion function circuit. These constitute a power modules, analog signal acquisition module, analog signal output module, Digital signal of input and output module, EEPROM extension and communication module. The color LCD touch-screen is used for friendly human-computer interface, which make the operation more conviently. The whole system is more intelligent, adaptable, and can be used for wood-based panel of scientific research and production.By using serial communication methods between MCU and LCD touch screen, the system realize intelligent monitoring, automatic process control, real-time display, adjustable-speed as well as other functions. Automatic control process can automatically execute in accordance with the pre-set press parameters, and real-time display hot-pressing and historical curve. All operations can be completed through interactive interface and the the process parameters need not be set repeatedly at the same test conditions, which bring convenience to the operator. And the adjustment range of the control parameters is relatively large. By using curve fitting method, system pressure is controlled in 2MPa and 21.5Mpa, and the precision is in±0.3MPa. By using PID algorithm, the temperature reaches to stability condition in less than two hours and the precision is in±1?C. All these realized the precise parameters control on the temperature, location, speed and pressure. At the end of experiment, test data can also be uploaded to PC system for data analysis and processing. The system is particularly suitable for noise, electromagnetic interference, and serious pollution occasion.
