Research And Design Of EPON System Based On VxWorks

To the long-standing concept, Passive optical network (PON) has the characteristics of saved fiber resources and transparent to the network protocol, and played an increasingly important role in the OAN. Meanwhile, after 20 years of development, with the characteristics of the simple, practical and low prices, ethernet technology had been almost completely ruled LAN and in fact proved to be the best carrier of carrying IP data packets. With the IP business in the MAN and backbone transmission lines share of the rising, ethernet transmission rate is adopted, manageability and other aspects of improving gradually to access and MAN and even the backbone network of the internet. With the combination of Ethernet and PON, we have Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON). Because it has the advantages of both Ethernet and PON, it is becoming a hot area of technology in the optical access network.This paper is to study and design of real-time operating system VxWorks used in the EPON system, including the Board Support Package Development, TFFS document system Implementation, PON chip-driven transplant, Web Server Remote Management realized.First, this paper expounded the basic characteristics of VxWorks focus on the network communication of good support, Then based on the detailed analysis of the BSP, I proposed the establishment of a basic system for the software program, completed the communications of the NIC and Implementation of True Flash File System. Further I analyzed the PON chip software framework, set design PON system initialization and PON chip CPU interactive information access process. In these foundations, GoAhead WebServer has been chosen as top management channel, and the generation and distribution of the dynamic page has realized. Finally, the specific circumstances of the entire system debugging has been introduced.
