The high speed development of national economy has set higher and higher request to the mold industry, as while as providing formidable power for its development. The mold is basically processed in the way of multi-varieties, single unit and small volume production. Its production management is quite complex and needs to establishment corresponding production plan for every order and equalize the load of machine and person.At present, domestic enterprise information system mainly concentrates on production management, workshop material management, quality control, processing data statistics, which mainly functions for large and middle scale enterprises. They have fixed production plan in a longer time. But the produce craft of the mold enterprise is complex and changeable, which needs to carry on workshop arrangement and resources disposition much more flexibly. Its production plan formulation and the optimization becomes an important restriction during information construction of mold enterprises.This article analyzed several heuristic algorithms for workshop process arrangement, such as Palmer law, the essential work unit law and the CDS law, and proposed some priority dispatch rules when existing several kinds of plans that can make the total process period shortest. In the production control part, the funnel model was used, based on the load equalization control method, and carried on balanced processing for the load of machine and worker.With the real production process of a mold enterprise, this article summarized the most commonly used processing flow according to historical data. Taking shortest total process period as the objective function, the most optimized plan was chosed according to the planning results of the three laws. Priority dispatch was carried on according to the load balance principle and EDD (Earliest Due Day) rule. With the aid of J2EE multi-layered architecture, the rule engine can be seamlessly integrated in the entire application system, and therefore provided policy-making support for the whole process. Contrast to relative traditional production plan management system, there are several improvements in process standardization, the workshop schedule algorithm, the procedure priority dispatch principle, load equalization control and enhanced flexibility and adaptiveness.
