| The intelligent instrument is getting more multifunctional, microminiaturized and networking use, and has found more applications where the network transmission, remote controllability and real-time monitoring are required. For data security, they must have strong anti-disturbance ability and self recovery capacity against data lost in network environment, especially for those working on the 3rd platform such as CDMA and GPRS wireless network may lose important data due to temporary platform failures or regular system maintain. So, the instrument design should have higher requirements in good reflection of system state for easy debugging.For this, the paper has introduced the"function node", a new concept in monitor design which have good effect in practical use, after a comprehensive study on the intelligent monitor and it's universal characteristics.1) The function node is relatively independent element in instrument function set, and they are detachable, can represent any function in a combined form. In this foundation, the relationship among function node, instrument function and user's job has been discussed.2) The function node has been applied in concurrent execution design for better system resources using and scheduling.3) A scheduler based on real-time process priority has been created, and the job response time is determined and could be furtherly reduced by function node design optimization.4) The process tracing and recovery have been realized, which are helpful in system state understanding for supervisor.The new monitor has been used in the"GPRS based Remote wireless Reading and Monitoring System for Meters", the field unit has been successfully installed in metering box at Power Company Yuzhong area in Chong Qing. That has proved the new monitor can generally be popularized in small intelligent instrument. |
