Study Of MIS Design Method Based On Workflow And Web Services

Information Technology (IT) is the most advanced and active productive forces, having been a foundation of the contemporary socio-economy. Management Information System (MIS) is an important and basic platform for enterprises to make use of information technology. Increasingly fierce competition among enterprises requires MIS to adapt the changing environment. Therefore, research of how to build MIS to meet requirements of the modern enterprise has become a hot issue.This paper analyzes enterprise's requirements for MIS in the changing market environment. In view of the status of the current MIS design, using work flow and Web services technology, the traditional MIS had been improved in this paper. It uses workflow technology to improve MIS flexible business processes and uses Web services technology to improve MIS flexible configuration of the processing functions. Combining these two technologies, it proposes approach and strategy of building a flexible MIS. Then, the paper proposes a new MIS designing framework, including its architecture, framework and model. Finally, according to the new MIS designing framework, this paper designs and realizes of an ATM application system, with part of its function's specific analysis which certificates theories and technical feasibility of MIS framework of the new design. Based on the workflow and Web services technology, the study results of MIS designing method provide a new way of thinking for solving enterprise business processes. Bold attempts and innovation have been made in theory and practice.
