The application of underwater vehicle had been enlarged in world wide area, such as: ocean studying,ocean developing and projects in underwater etc. Autonomous Underwater Vehicle(AUV) would be one of the most significant means by the way of disputing information,taking accurate and intelligent attack,completing especial missions in the war of future. This thesis was a section of research into the hardware design of signal processing flat embedded on AUV.At first, this thesis introduced the development of acoustic visual system and the characteristic of Embedded System, then showed the hardware structure of embedded signal processing flat. The hardware flat adopted TMS320C6711B fast floating point DSP as the main processor, used CY7C09449-AC PCI bridge chip carried on the communication between DSP and PC-104 through PCI interface and EPM7256AE to complete the logic control of the system. The whole flat embedded in PC-104 and used Real-Time Operating System VxWorks. Both of the DSP and CPLD in the system were all programmable, this improved the dependability and flexibility remarkably and obtained convenience of system's upgrade.The second part of this thesis implemented the transplant of VxWorks operating system in PC based on Pentium4 CPU, and had much study in the design of PCI interface's device driver. It showed the detailed structure and process of the device program of PCI., combined the design idea and the realizing method harmoniously.
