Research And Realization On Workflow Management System Based On Web Service

During the process of businesses and government offices, the day-to-day affairs, which are long and cumbersome to be dealt with, become the bottleneck of the daily works' efficiency. It is the same as complex paper-based document delivery process. Workflow technology, which includes cooperative technology, pipeline mission and so on, not only enhances personal working ability, but also improves the efficiency of teamwork. So it meets enterprise information's requirement.However, the distribution, heterogeneity, looses and autonomy of enterprise information environment becomes more and more complex. As well as the couple degree between application systems becomes lower. The existing workflow systems become hard to adapt to such complex application environments. This paper concentrates on the Domain-oriented Software Product Platform (SoftProLine) as the research background. The workflow management system based on Web-Service is designed and realized, and is successfully embedded in SoftProLine platform as a core component. At the same time it also meets the platform's design requirement. The main contents in the paper are as follows:1,Research on the feasibility of workflow system based on Web Service as the distributed framework. Deeply study the workflow management system model. Define the workflow management system's main functions, overall architecture and development process.2,An workflow manage idea based on finite state machine and a service interaction mechanism based on data model are proposed. The idea makes the workflow system loosely coupled with external application. Avoid the complexity and tight coupling of the existing workflow systems, which always provide services as the way of calling the API methods. As a result these improve this workflow system's compatibility and transparency.3,Design and realize Web Service-based workflow management system's structure . The system is in accordance with the design idea of the SoftProLine platform. And the ability to deal with workflow in platform is enhanced. Combining with SOAP, XML and other key technologies of Web Service, the workflow becomes cross-platform, independent and loosely coupled. Then the compatibility of the entire platform becomes enhanced.
