| Multi-Beam Sounding System (MBSS) is a high-density integration of modern signal processing, computer application, high precision navigation and positioning and other technologies. And the Multi-Beam Echo Sounder is a seafloor mapping equipment with high efficiency, high accuracy and excellent resolution, especially fitted for wide sweep mapping. The computer is the control center of Multi-Beam Sounding System. So, to develop powerful software system is necessary.Based on the techniques of the our first Multi-Beam Echo Sounder, the main works of this thesis is to develop a Sounding Data Visualization and Control software of the Multi-Beam Echo Sounder, which can be run on the Windows Operating System and can communicate using RS-232 and RJ45.In this thesis, the working principle and the software system function of the Multi-Beam Echo Sounder are analyzed firstly, a work flow is designed, and then a Sounding Data Visualization and Control software is programmed with Visual C++. This application software is used to display sounding data, to control system operation, to collect various measurement data, to edit the sounding data and store them. Software running on Windows operating system has much advantage, such as the interface is friendly, easier to operate, flexible, patulous and so on. The data transmission using RS-232 serial communication and windows sockets network communication, all of them used to improve the Multi-Beam Echo Sounder further. |
