Nowadays, Electronic Countermeasures are becoming increasingly drastic. People pay more attention to coded signal, owing to its advantages of good anti-hiding characteristic, good anti-jamming capability and low probability of intercept property in radar application. However, coded signal radar has the disadvantages of higher range sidelobe and sensitivity to Doppler shifts. Moreover, the use of stagger MTI can avoid blind velocity phenomena, and effectively filter out clutter.In this paper, the basic theory of pulse compression is introduced. Then introduces two commonly used methods of treatment: Matched filter and mismatched filter. Use the genetic algorithm to search the sequence of m code, respectively analyzes the BPSK signal and GMSK signal pulse compression treatment. We also discuss the method to compensate the impact of Doppler shifts with GMSK signal. Finally, adopt the improved genetic algorithm and slipping pulse method to design the MTI filter, give the filter frequency response results. To decrease the computation,the improved genetic algorithm has been taken to search stagger code. The simulation and performance analysis demonstrate the feasibility and validity of this algorithm.
