| The curvarure polarity means the curving degree of the counter,the curvature that toward the center of the shape is the concavity,instead ,the curvature away the center of the shape is the convexity.So far,which one is more sensitive is still an argument,and the reason why it is more sensetive is also an argument. Some researchers insist that the sensitivity to the curvature is related to the part structure of the whole shape,if the curvature has changed the structure,it will sensitivity to the observer,on the contrary,it will not.(the changed structure of the shape means that the contour changed from straight line to curved shape,the still not changed structure means that the concavity also the concavity,the convexity also the convexity in one shape,the changed one is the magnitude of the curvature. )This research get into the topic from the polority of the curvature,the purpose is that which is more sensitive to the observer,the concavity or the convexity?The first experiment is in the condition of the changed contour structure,probe the difference between the two ones;The second experiment is in the conditon of the contour structure doesn't change,probe the difference between the two ones.From the analysis and the discussion of the experiment,we came to the conclusion that:1 When the curvature changed the contour structure, from the total fixation time,the fixation times and the distance of the saccade,we coclude that:the observer is more sensitive to the concavity.2 When the curvature doesn't chang the contour structure, the observer is also more sensitive to the concavity.3 The reason why the observer is more sensitive to the concavity is that,the concavity is toward the center of the shape whereas the convexity is far away the center of the shape,observer need small saccade and less faxition time to perceive the concavity,but the obsever need more mental resouces to perceive the convexity. |
