As a key step in intelligent industry field, quality insurances determine the prospect of a company in which area the demand for fast and high accurate range detector is becoming a critical requirement. The traditional range sensor, such as triangle sensor is widely used in the surface detect.However, step error and shadow effect restrict this kind of sensor development. A new type of triangle with rotational symmetric property could overcome such defect by its unique optic architecture. In this paper we aimed to supply a software solution for rotational symmetric triangulation range detector with embedded system which has great significance in industry application.The main tasks are listed below:1. Finished the software design of rotational symmetric triangulation range detector with embedded system. The software design consist of two parts: embedded software and client control software which communicate with TCP/IP network.2. Make investigation on new radius detect algorithm which has been tiny modified to adapt on new hardware. Realize the ring detect algorithm which follow the coarse to fine step to obtain a sub-pixel level center and radius used in calibration situation. According to experiment, the new calibration algorithm is more repeatable.3. Optimize the realization of calibration algorithm on DSP system. Rewrite or modify some hardware driver. Test the robustness of new embedded system.4. Update the PC based control client, adding some new modules and fixed some bugs. The new version has a more friendly user interface and more robust.
