| Advanced Public Transport System(APTS) is an important part of urban transportation system. In the context of priority of public transport in urban transportation system, the development of APTS becomes more and more important for the release of congestion of urban traffic. With the construction of APTS in the city, business management of bus company could be improved, the efficiency and service level of bus service would be better.Consult a lot of literatures and projects, based on GPS and GPRS technology, the thesis proposed a design and development method of intelligent bus management terminal based on ARM.The Global Positioning System(GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the U.S. GPS works in any weather conditions, anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day. There are no subscription fees or setup charges to use GPS. Combined with the GPRS network of China Mobile, APTS based on GPS and GPRS technology is proved the best scheme for the system.Intelligent bus management terminal is an integral part of APTS, it is the information terminal for the whole system and plays an important part in it. In this thesis, the whole process of the design of intelligent terminal is noted. Both hardware and software design is discussed, and debugging result is made out. In the chapter of hardware design, the schematic diagram and some questions need to be noticed in the design are discussed. In the chapter of software design, the flow charts of software are presented. At the end of the thesis, the debugging of hardware/software is explained and the terminal sample is shown.With several time's tests and modifies, the terminal's function is all achieved. Now the intelligent bus management terminal is running for test on the bus in Changsha city, and all good reputations are received. |
