With the development in computer technology and wireless communication technology, advanced mobile wireless computing is expected to gradually gain widespread use and application. The mobile Ad hoc network will have been received more and more attention from all lines due to its characters without centralized network administration and infrastructure. In recent years, various routing protocols that are tailored to Ad hoc networks have been put up and related analysis and evaluation are being done from different aspects have become a hot spot of academic research. This paper focused on problem and application prospects of Ad Hoc network; systematically summarized the deficiency of current Ad Hoc network routing protocol; improve the ant network algorithm; constructed a multi-path routing scheme based on AntNet and simulated it under the network simulation software NS2. The main studies are described as follows:(1) Analyzing the characteristics of mobile Ad Hoc networks, application prospects and development; comparing single pathway routing with multi-path routing in mobile Ad Hoc network; discussing a few typical protocol deficiencies.(2) In order to solve the disadvantages of AntNet which are slow polymerization, low efficiency in heavy load and long delay, we bring the database of path to optimize it and prove the effectiveness of the optimized algorithm using simulation.(3) According to the problems of current routing protocol that are inefficient, high expense routing and low network lifetime, bringing the improved AntNet to the multi-path routing scheme. Choosing the path from the database of path according the probability to meet the purpose of balance load and adaptive the network. Describing the implementation process of the optimized scheme from three aspects which are proposing, designing and implementing of protocol.(4) Using the wireless network simulation tool NS2 to simulate the optimized scheme to test the validation. Analyzing the performance of optimized protocol from data flow, network topology changes and node number, and comparing the optimized protocol with MSR and DSR...
