Log classifying has been a key link in the forestry producing and the lumber processing. This paper is about finding defects which influences the log processing without destructing log structure, in order to select material in reason, use material scientifically, raise use rate of wood, and save wood resource effectively.CT uses X radial to test nondestructive log. It transmits certain fault of log from multi-directions, and uses computer with special image reconstruct arithmetic to open out a two-dimension image which has been scanned, and the result is the CT image. Then it composes certain two-dimension images to three-dimension image, and adds illuminations and romances to create three-dimension high quality manual work image which has strongly third dimension.This paper firstly intends to analyze the typical defects which influences the log processing, and secondly detailed argues the CT examination principle and puts forward a kind of adoption CT for examine the means of log non-destructive examination. Then applies the computer digital picture processing technique in the processing and analysis the log CT picture to make the log image in focus and easy to identify and process. Next it uses interpolation to increase numbers and accuracy of images, and then it can carry on clear and correct three-dimension reconstructions in condition of limited images. It carries on three-dimension reconstructions of CT images finally, and fixing position of the defects of the log primarily. At the same time, we believe it to be significant in computer pattern recognizing of defects in logs.
