| The working environment of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) in deep sea is extremely dangerous. Moreover, AUV is a high-technological product which may cost considerably large amounts of energy and money for its designing and producing. At the same time, the development of AUV has close relationship with national secrets. Materials or data collected by AUV are extremely valuable. Still it takes the responsibility for securing ROV which carries people. If AUV is sunk in the deep sea, it may cause tremendous loss in the ocean development and research. Therefore, studies in the self-rescue system for AUV become the key techologies in this field. This paper focuses on the communications and locating software in AUV.On the basis of developing the self-rescue equipment for Department of Military Equipments, which is one of the important project preview researched in the eleventh"Five-year Plan", this paper discusses and researches in several sides which is given below:Firstly, it is to select the most efficient long-distance wireless communication facilities in order to transmit data from the AUV to the self-rescure beacon based on the wireless communications technology and the requirements of this project.Secondly, it is to design a GPS-data gathering and disposing system to realize the following functions: debugging and testing the performance of the equipment; displaying and selecting the data with different formats from the GPS equipment simultaneously; saving those data for the future reference and displaying those results simultaneously.Thirdly, it is to design a well-equipped serial communications system to realize the following functions: transmitting immediate and interactive information between the computer on the bank and the beacon; analyzing, processing and selecting relative information and displaying all of them; locating the beacon accurately and emulating the tracks; saving all the data, such as the command for the beacon, the position of the beacon as well as the distance between the beacon and ship, for the future reference.Finally, it is to debug and test the hardware as well as the softwore of those two systems in the lab. |
