The over-gauge and overload goods transportation plays an important role in railway transportation, which is essential for large scale projects and national defense construction. According to general planning of railway informatization, the department of specialized transportation of railway ministry initiates a project of railway transportation of over-gauge and overload goods information management system. The process control system is one of subsystems dependent on this project.Grid workflow is a multiplex technology of Grid and workflow, it take the automatical process of business as its objective. It has supported the distribution, dynamic, interactive services and so on.It has been taken more and more attention in the business process modeling, and the scope of application is more and more widely.This thesis focus on grid based workflow business process in the application of railway over-gauge and overload goods transportation. It analyses transportation operation in detail and brings forward the primary design of the process control information system based on workflow, including the guidance, the architecture and the design process. Then it presents the detail design and implementing method of prototype system. In order to verify this model design is reasonable or not, I built a small grid test environment, and develop a simulate system, simulate the process of the railway over-gauge and overload goods transportation.The job of this thesis includes following four aspects:1 Analyse the over-gauge and overload goods transportation demands, whose characteristics include operation autonomy, resource distribution, dynamic, data sharing and collaborative multi-participate processes.2 Design the over-gauge and overload goods business process and data collaborative model, then divide the process into four sub-process, that is conductive to the grid service module design and functionality module partition. At the same time, I design the sharing model in the grid environment. Finally, idesign the database of this system.3 Abstract and design the grid services. Define the grid services and link types respectively according to the six basic grid services which are abstracted from the entire business process.4 To verify the design is reasonable or not, i built a simulated operating environment in the laboratory, and the final test proved that the design isreasonable and correct.In accordance with the analysis of the system function, this thesis presents the design and implementing of process control information system, which is the first attempt in railway transportation field. The research of this thesis provides some consults to the information management system of railway transportation of special goods in our country in the future.
