Whether from civilian or military point of view, pontoon had a wide range of applications and development potential. As the sub-rear-mounted pontoons mentioned in this paper had the usage in river, they come under the stream, wind and some load. In order to ensure the safety and right of our army to cross the river, we must firstly observe the pontoons' movement in the works of the crossing project. And the operating reliability, real-time performance and intuitive of the whole process were particularly important.In this paper, the author studyed deeply in the visual simulation of pontoons based on the technology of dynamic combination, and set up the system of pontoon power fixed visual simulation.And then the paper exposited the basic methods with the use of modeling techniques Multigen Creator and Multigen Vega's three-dimensional scenes drive technology on VC++ platform Visual Simulation System,and introduced the key technologies of Visual Simulation involved.The paper set up the scene model of a pontoon bridge with the techniques in Creator, including surface model, terrain model and other environmental factors. And then the paper use related technology of Multigen Vega to enable the virtual scene-driven implementation. For one of the ground model, the paper do the research and analysis of its mathematical model, and take advantage of the technology of terrain modeling to achieve a real simulation. Simultaneously the paper analyzed the mathematical model of water sports, and studied the use of particle systems to achieve the forces of water under different real-time dynamic simulation methods, and studied the simulation methods in sky and cloud.In the MFC development environment of Visual C++, system called Vega scenes functional interface to control object model, and displayed the real-time three-dimensional scenes. It communicated with the pontoons' dynamic model by the network, and received status informations of pontoons. So the whole process formed a pontoon movement visual simulation system.In this paper, the pontoon movement visual simulation system allowed the user to achieve the control of the flexibility, real-time observation and human-machine interactive, as well as an immersive virtual. It had the features of visual simulation system, such as realistic, interactive and real-time. And this technology had practical application values in the research and development of pontoons.
