Research And Application On Native XML Data Warehouse Model

With the technological development of the data warehouse,the data organization is becoming more and more complex,and the data sources are increasingly diversified. Therefore,the traditional data warehouse can no longer very well adapt to the new requirements.XML is an Extensible Markup Language,which has the advantages like scalability,the structural ability,platform independence,self-description,flexibility, standardization,and simplicity.Since XML has the above-mentioned advantages, therefore,when we combine XML with data warehouses and create the native XML data warehouse,the problems encountered in the traditional warehouse can be well solved.Based on this background,this paper has a study and probe into the native XML data warehouse and put forward the XML data pre-processing model based on pattern tree and the XML multi-dimensional data model,thus providing a good data foundation for decision supportThis paper firstly states the emergence and development of the data warehouse, introduces the key technologies of data warehouse and the XML,which include data warehouse architecture,relevant OLAP theory,multi-dimensional data model and the DTD,XML Schema technology.Then XETL,tree-based XML data pre-processing model,is proposed.XETL model are studied from the data model and predicate model,and realize in the ETL process based on XETL model definition four main conversions of attribute selection, the vacancy processing,polymerization and attributes rename.Next,this paper researches into the store standards of XML data warehouse,puts forward the semantic definition of the native XML data warehouse and establishes the native multi-dimensional XML data warehouse model and demonstrates the comprehensiveness and effectiveness of the native multi-dimensional model of XML data warehouse.Lastly,this paper has realized a variety of OLAP operations in the data cube and has completed a preliminary native XML data warehouse system.The realization solution of such a data warehouse has ensured the stability,flexibility and scalability of the data warehouse system and adapted to the application needs of the new generation of WEB.
