The modeling process of the LTCC passive components is introduced in this paper. By the parameter extraction and the use of three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software HFSS, different inductance models including two, three and four circles for plane spiral inductor and different capacitance models including four, five and six layers for staggered multi-layer capacitors are established. Based on capacitance and inductance models above, the models ofΠtype capacitance coupled and T type inductance coupled passband filter are obtained. In order to make theΠtype capacitance coupled passband filter have better filtering performance, the transmission zero is introduced at the stopband frequency in the model with the help of the inductance coupling method. The two types of passband filters are simulated by three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software HFSS. The simulation results show that the pass band range, bandwidth and the center frequency ofΠtype capacitance coupled passband filter are 3.45GHz-3.65GHz, 200MHz and 3.55GHz, respectively, and the pass band range, bandwidth and the center frequency of T type inductance coupled passband filter are 2.2-2.6GHz, 400MHz and 2.4GHz, respectively.
