With the development of science and technique, the PID control(proportion-integral-derivative control) is still the main way of control as a result of simple algorithm,better robustness and high reliability. However, as an uncertain complex controlling system, which has the features of nonlinear and variable parameters with time, it can not get a satisfactory result. So it's important to find a new controller having a better performance than PID controller and simple structure and convenience as PID controller.This article mainly studied on the fuzzy PID control. First, this paper gave a detailed introduction about PID control and parameter self-tuning. It also discussed the PID relay feedback self-tuning technology. Second, it stated a fuzzy parameter self-tuning PID control algorithm because the fuzzy control didn't call for an accurate mathematics model of controlled object, and it based on the human way of thinking and production experience which described the process with human language and adjusted the control parameters by the certain rules. Simulation proved the fuzzy PID control had better effect and quality. It also had self-adaptation. It could regulate the system in time when the object changed or the system was interfered.Finally, it used MCGS configuration software to implement the algorithm. Compared with results of the PID control and the fuzzy PID algorithm applied on water-level plant and temperature object, the fuzzy PID control could accelerate the control system decrease the transitional period, reduce the maximal deviation and have better robustness.
