With the 3G technology taken into commercial officially, the process of building information society in China makes a huge progress. At the same time, with the start of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail, China's railway passenger transport entry a new era. However, the intersection of these two--providing a whole broadband internet access for fast moving passenger, the research of this part is still premature in China. This thesis begins the research for this domain with investigating today's technology at home and abroad. The research faces 'two-high' difficulty--high speed rail (over 300km/h), high broadband, are two difficult issue in wireless communication. High-speed moving leads to many troubles, like high handoff frequency, Doppler frequency shift, fast wireless channel change. Higher request are made by resource allocation in the aggregation network because of high broadband.A overall wireless broadband access network architecture is given in this thesis, which consists of two parts: (i) an access network part which has to deal with large number of users, asking for a high bandwidth, while experiencing a high handoff frequency and (ii) an aggregation network part which has to deal with dynamic tunnels of very high bandwidth, while experiencing a low handoff frequency. In this thesis, we detail the designed architecture, together with optimized handoff strategies, an optical switching architecture, a design methodology for dimensioning aggregations networks and automatic tunnel pre-configuration and activation. Moreover, performance results of these mentioned aspects will be presented. The thesis uses 22 figures, 3 tables and 34 references.
