With the rapid development of grid technology, data transfer technology has increasingly highlighted its importance, because it not only occupies an important position in dealing with massive data in data grid,but also in computing grid, service grid, and other fields plays a critical role.Data's efficiently, reliably, conveniently transferring and copying relates to the efficiency of the whole system.GridFTP as a bottom layer of grid computing data transfer protocol, mainly provide data transfer support for the upper services.Based on GridFTP, Globus proposes a reliable file transfer service named Reliable File Transfer (RFT).RFT is a grid service based on WSRF service,which provides a permanent, easy called, reliable file transfer service.I make a research on the theory knowledge about reliable file transfer in Globus in this article,such as GridFTP, Reliable File Transfer services,Grid Security Infrastructure,Web Services Notification,and for the imperfection of RFT client tools that Globus provides in data management module,create a enhanced the RFT tool named ERFT (Enhanced Reliable File Transfer)based on the Globus RFT client tool,to finish complex data transfer and deletion,by selecting file in file GUI or parsing a XML configuration file.
