Research And Implementation Of Sharing Configuration Management System

With the development of enterprise informationalization, in each period of the informationalization process, every enterprise set up more than one professional network management system or resource management system to manage different kinds of internal resources. And it led to the decentralization of resource information in different systems. Therefore, we could not have an overview of all resources in this enterprise and deliver effective management, thus had to face some problems in the construction of integrated resource management system. For example, we could not carry out indistinctive management towards the resources, or could not share the information in heterogeneous data sources and led to duplicate construction. One of the most important reasons is lack of universal resource-sharing information model. The second reason is synchronization and consistency during the collection of resource information between heterogeneous data sources. The third one is lack of open information-sharing interface with strong ability to mutual operation.To solve these problems, A middle layer (Sharing configuration management system) can be led in between integrated resource management system and the resource information in professional network management system, used to store configuration items of for resource sharing. Meanwhile, it also provided consistency of the decentralized resource information and shielded the speciality of decentralized resource information.To realize the sharing configuration management system, firstly, after analysis and comparison of existing resource-sharing information models, this paper brought forword an universal information model, and realized indistinctive management towards these resources. Based on this information model, also with the reference of the CI's(configuration item's) design principles and methods in ITIL, this paper gave the range of configuration items and relationship between these items, finally finished the mapping from universal resource information model to database, and set up a sharing configuration management database. After analyzing requirements towards interface of this sharing configuration management database, we designed a Web service interface for searching and managing the configuration items.Finally, this paper gave an implement of sharing configuration management system. The entire system is divided into three parts: realization of sharing configuration management database, data collection and synchronization module and interface of sharing configuration management database.
