| Automatic welding and welding manipulator can provide stable welding, reduce the intensity of labor, improve the productivity and also can reduce cost, which is an aim that people had been pursuing for thousands of years. In the 80's, the arc welding manipulator had been widely used in different industry areas such as auto cars, vessel, railway wagons, boilers, metalwork, construction machinery and household appliances, which is very helpful for reducing cost and improve the quality. In the year 2002, Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock co., Ltd imported the welding manipulator from Cloos Company in Germany for welding on end wall, side wall, and roof and center sill during manufacturing of wagons; however, they did non performance very well due to the preparation of the supplementary material and technical equipment. In the year 2005, supplementary technical reformation of the welding manipulator on the basis of existed ones were made, which improved the field of application on welding manipulator. This paper presented the researching on machining of roof parts and technical equipments on railway wagons, as well as application of welding manipulator. The technical reformation is aiming at making the welding of manipulator to match the fabrication technology of wagon to realize welding automation, thus, the productivity and quality can be improved.During fabrication of railway wagons, most welding are made by manual welding and gas shield arc welding, which is poor in quality and can not satisfy the requirement of standard. Also, the work intensity of labors is very high. The welding manipulator has a high requirement on assembling dimension and accuracy, so there must be a suitable preparation technology to be matched with it to improve the productivity and welding quality.This paper made reasonable technical processes on the basis of the current welding condition in Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. At last, the welding system of welding manipulator was determined in according to structure of roof, technical process and the environment that the manipulator would be used. Also a set of perfect welding automation application system of railway wagon is decided on the basis of conditions of welding area of manipulator, structure of wire feeding parts, and the welding tracing sensor. |
