| The developing process of any kind of Electronic Dictionary involves basic researches such as information searching, collection, sort, formation, compression and input. Aiming at developing multilingual electronic dictionaries, the author of this article has carried out a series of research work. It is found that, during the developing process of electronic dictionaries, a great deal of time has been spent on the information collection and sort. Consequently the improvement on the resource processing is of vital importance to shorten the product researching and developing cycle as well as to reduce the manual workload.The research work completed in this article is as follows:1. The author studied the functions, features and the developing trends of domestic and foreign electronic dictionaries, encyclopedias and online dictionary products etc.2. The author figured out the issues to be researched and the software performance index based on the analysis of collected products mentioned above.3. The author designed the functional structure of resource processing system according to the characteristics of this issue.4. The author made research into the popular compression algorithms, and chose one to be used in this research as per to the performance of various algorithms, and the author also optimized the parameters accordingly.5. The author studied the Uyghur Language Sort rule, and developed the Uyghur Sorter on the basis of a sort interface provided by Microsoft DotNet.6. The author carried out a large number of experiments on search algorithms, and selected binary search algorithm as the dictionary's search program. |
