In recent years,because of the widespread popularity of the Internet and the rapid development of multimedia technology, video-streaming technology based on the network has been widely used.Firstly, this paper introduced the content and the superiority of the H.264 code standard, and chose the H.264 as the video compression technology of video transmission system on the network. Then this paper compared and analyzed the network transport protocols, and selected the UDP/RTP/RTCP as this system's transport protocols. After introducing the H.264 NAL concept and the RTP load form, this paper proposed a H.264 video stream encapsulation strategy based on the RTP.Based on the analysis and research on the technologies above, this paper designed a real-time video transmission system based on the RTP/RTCP with the C++, separately realized the system's Server end and the Client end. In the transmit mode, the system used the Winsock technology to accomplish the IP multicast which realized the transmission system's highly effective.Facing the unfavorable factors, such as a variety of packets loss,delay,jitter and end-isomers existing in communication networks,how to guarantee the highly effective of the real-time video transmission on the network and how to improve the QoS of the video transmission has become a challenging and valuable research subject.This paper made research on the QoS of the video transmission, then designed a kind of circular buffer to solute the delay vibration appearing in the video transmission process. And,this paper proposed an auto-adapted congestion control method, take the congestion control strategy based on the feedback of RTCP to guarantee the QoS of the real-time video transmission process-realizing the reliability and stability of the video transmission.The real-time video transmission system designed in this paper has successfully functioned on the LAN, and also been used on WAN. It has certain practical value and deserves to be promoted.
