The Research And Application Of Extracting And Vectoring The Building Contour Based On The Pixel Factory Production

Automatic building extraction is a bottleneck of automatic surveying and mapping. Because of the complexity of image information and building modals, there still have a lot of hardness to extract building automatically in addition to lack of excellent methods. With the development of Pixel factory system, we can make use of DSM and the True Digital Ortho Map (TDOG) to develop a new method to extract simple building, the main purpose of this article is to extract and vector building successfully. The main works and creations are as the following:1. Expatiating the background of research and future application impact. Pointing out the the difficulty of technology. Introducing the advantage of pixel factory and the theory of extraction building from DSM and TDOG. Deciding the base of this thesis.2. Studying the detection methods, advancing and improving the effection of the Canny method with an adaptive smooth filter.3. In order to extract building from image, a method to extract contour of building with the help of some manual work is invented. Making use of the DSM image, we introduce a regular method to create building contour.4. Making using of the existing method and technology, completing and vectoring building contour extraction result with the DSM and TDOG.5. Integrating with Mapstar, perfecting the map collection model, forming a simple extracting frame and apply to production.
