Research On The Application Of Virtual Reality In The Modern Lamp Design

With the rapid development of People's living standard, material life became more and more abundant. Consumers demand the lamp became more and more personality. Modern companies have to face the difficult problem to promptly meet the consumer personal requirements with lower cost and higher qualities. The trends of globalization of the product design and manufacture,working with the Internet and Virtual Reality technology are the key features of modern manufacture industry. They are also the most important ways to enhance the companies'competitive power.Virtual Reality technology is base on the computer and designs a lifelike virtual environment, which can access interaction between the user and the environment by using essential device. It leads to"immersion"technology which makes people feel living in the real world.This issue takes modern lamp design as an example and focusing on product development, the article discusses that how to use this new technology to develop modern lamp design in the process of design. It is able to make enterprises shorten the product development cycle and manufacturing cycle dramatically, organize production fast and flexible, improve the success rate of product development to adapt to the increasingly fierce market competition and the production situation which lead of many varieties and small batch production.The thesis firstly introduced the basic concepts and status of the modern lamp design and Virtual Reality technology. Afterwards, the thesis constructs the modern lamp virtual Interactive design platform which realizes lamp virtual Interactive design. On the foundation of detailed analysis to the need of platform, Author chooses SolidWorks and 3ds Max for constructing environments and Eon for interaction setting and Dreamweaver to modify the interface of platform. At the same time, Author draws up the total process of platform and the main step of realization. Finally, it puts forward a modern lamp virtual Interactive design platform.
