Design And Implementation Of Multicast Management Of Universal Network

Traditional principle of imperfect design of the Internet is the impact of the current multicast technology development issues. Network structure based on the new design of the multicast has become an important current research directions.In order to avoid the security problem brought about by the traditional multicast network and to inherit the credibility of the Universal Network, this paper presents a multicast mechanism based on Universal Network. The mechanism is divided into two parts. They are multicast route mechanism and multicast management mechanism of Universal Network. This paper designs and implements the multicast management mechanism of Universal Network. The mechanism is based on the idea of identity management and is implemented by centralized management approach. It introduces MSI (Multicast Service IDentifier), MGI (Multicast Group IDentifier) and UNMC (Universal Network Multicast Controller). UNMC processes the interactive messages between ASR(Access router) and UNMC. By doing this with MySQL, the goal of multicast nodes management and control comes true. UNMC functional entity is divided into four functional modules. They are registration, authentication, management, and accounting. The functional modules of the management mechanism are carried out based on the Linux environment.We deploy this multicast management scheme on the experimental network and do some related tests on functions and performances. The results indicate that this scheme can meet the basic requirements of the communication in Universal Network including the registration, authentication, management, and accounting of the multicast codes.
