With the rapid development of the information technology, large amount of data need to be obtained accurately, conveniently and timely in order to get useful information. In recent years embedded computer has been used in many fields such as industry, agriculture, education, national defense, scientific research and daily life. The combination of the embedded system and the technology of the data collection leads to a small, portable and low cost device which has functions of the data collecting, processing, storing and displaying. The research is meaningful and promises a bright prospect of wide usage.The high speed data acquisition system accomplishes mostly the data acquiring and data storing as soon as possible. The gain control circuit in the system is used to control the input signal in order to agree with the requirement of ADC chip. The first FIFO data buffer circuit stores the data after A/D conversion. CPLD will analyze working sequence of each device, also their time of sampling and A/D conversion. It also adds and accumulate the data.After introducing the entire framework of the high speed data acquisition system, the thesis describes the design of data processing and displaying system prominently, including the design of embedded hardware platform and software platform. The embedded hardware platform centers on S3C2410 processor produced by Samsung Company, also includes memory module, Ethernet control module, display control module, test module and the interface module with data acquisition and storage system, and every module could work normally after being debugged.In order to achieve a better system, embedded Linux is adopted as the operating system for data processing and displaying on which the application programs are developed. The work includes the configuration and moving of self-triggered program Boot Loader, the configuration, compilation and moving of Linux/Embedded OS, the driver of peripheral. The drivers work as the bridge between the Linux Operating System(OS) kernel and hardware. The system introduces the driver of the network card CS900.
