The semi-rigid base materials have extensive application, in our country highway constructing. Its bent and tensile mechanics property study is very important, on the one hand, the semi-rigid base materials' early failure puzzles engineering technical personnel. On the other hand, the mechanics property of the semi-rigid base materials is important factor for improving renitent intensity.Based on PC-DAQ technology, embedded controller, PXI multifunction data acquisition cards and necessary signal condition box, a multifunctional Virtual Instrument test system is proposed in this thesis. The test system's software is developed by the graphical virtual instrument programming environment LabVIEW7.1, in NI.On the base of the comprehensive analysis of the most up to date development of the bent and tensile mechanics property of the semi-rigid base materials, this dissertation researches and builds the test system of the bent and tensile strain of the semi-rigid base material based on Virtual Instrument, and develop the measurement system of the test bench. First, this dissertation analyses the virtual instrument composition and principle. Then this dissertation gives the theory on the method of strain measurement and correlative signal processing knowledge. Finally, this dissertation introduces the test system of the semi-rigid base material of its functional module on software and hardware. The selection of sensors, data acquisition equipment and signal conditioning extensions for instrumentation are given, in hardware design. Meanwhile the hardware architecture of the test system is built up. Some important subprograms designed in LabVIEW are presented, in software design. The main functional modules of the systematic software based on LabVIEW7.1 are analyzed, which comprise the data acquisition, data management, data processing and data display. The system can be used in different semi-rigid base materials testing, such as the bent and tensile property parameter and so on. The system has a lot of merits, such as non-contact, friendly user interface, low cost of development, short development period, and flexible functional-extension, ect.
