The Research And Implementation Of The Embedded Web Server Toward Video Surveillance Systems

With the rapid development of economy and technology, the security requirement of people is increasing. Especially after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the surveillance industry develops rapidly in the global context, and the surveillance technology has a further development.This paper presented a whole schema of web server design in the video surveillance system. It is based on the Linux operating system; through working hard on the programming and researching of Berkeley DB, we used the Berkeley DB which is seldom used in civil to manage the data in the system; we used the multi-course concurrence technology, introduced the session concept, implemented the session function in the web server, conquered the defect of the HTTP protocol which is impossible to remember the statement of the server and client, improved the efficiency of the server by preloading the web page before user's requirement;we developed the embedded web site; we used the ethereal to test the HTTP packages between the client and the server, and certified the web server runs well.The video surveillance system can catch and store the doubtful picture in the remote place, let user browse the video and picture, and intelligently send the alarm photos to the mailbox of the manager. As a matter of fact, the system functions well.
