Along with the internet developing, the demand for internet connectivity is also growing, but the differences of various LAN protocols brought internet connectivity difficulties, which led to a higher cost of the internet. In order to break through this kind of limitation, in the early 1990s, the point-to-point protocol(PPP) has been drawn up, PPP is a protocol of data link layer, it provided powerful function, that supported notonly various network protocols but also effective solved data transmission on physical link, such as the data transmission about El, Sonet.In this paper, it has made a detailed analysis to entire process of the transmission based multilink PPP and PPP. What the paper emphasized is: the establishment of multilink bundle, the sliced and reorganized to data packet, the transmission of sliced data packet, the realization process of transmission, the data cache technology of multilink PPP, and the theory inferential reasoning to the receiving end cache.There are some innovations in this paper.(1) After the research to Round Robin algorithm of multilink PPP, paper put forward a question about the algorithm, proposed the Weighted Round Robin algorithm, simultaneously paper has made a detailed design to the process of data transmission based the algorithm.(2)Based the analyzed thoroughly to the process of reorganization, paper pointed out the key factors that affect the cache design of multilink PPP, according to these factors ,in the different situation, the cache capacity has been carried on the theory inferential reasoning. Under the situation that guarantees the cache area not overflow, proposed a proposal of the multilink PPP cache design, which occupied smaller memory.In the paper, there are two proposals about the Weighted Round Robin algorithm and the theory inferential reasoning in cache capacity, which would have some instructions to the transmission design of high performance multilink PPP...
