Research And Development Based On The Recognized Equation Editor

With the rapid development of Internet, computer and network technology have been promoting the social production, living, learning and so on. As the position to disseminate knowledge and technology, education has been impacted greatly by computer and network technology. Recently in this field the reformation of the technical means of checking exercise is a new topic. At present, there are many kinds of exercise checking software, which can only recognize and correct such as multiple-choice questions and true or false questions automatically, while in many subjects, calculating mathematics questions and proving problems are necessary part, and possess the large proportion in exercises. And there is still a blank that the computer can't identify and correct calculating mathematics questions and proving problems automatically at present.In science and engineering subject, calculating mathematics questions and proving questions must use a lot of mathematical expressions which convey its mathematical ideology to users, if the computer can check and identify the mathematics questions and proving questions, two functions need to be completed. First of all, when teachers design the homework and students complete the designed homework, the system must provide equation editor to input and edit mathematics expressions; Secondly, the computer can compare and identify assigned the homework by teachers and completed the homework by students. The existing formula editor like Word and MathType don't meet the requirements of the above, the main reasons are as follows: first, the existing equation editor is to display, layout and print the mathematics expressions; second, the data format of the existing equation editor is confidential; therefore, it is necessary to design and research for equation editor based on recognition.To meet the requirements above, the main creative achievements in the paper are as follows:(1) Through the analysis and research for the form of structure of the mathematics expressions and the operation of equation editor, the paper provides the data structure suiting for recognizing and checking mathematics expressions.(2) Design and develop equation editor after using Delphi 6.0, equation editor have achieved input correctly and display standard for most of mathematics expressions in science and engineering courses.(3) In order to input and identify effectively, the mathematics expressions by equation editor inputting and outputting need semantic understanding and relations reconstruction.
