Research And Realization Of Network Supported Cooperative Work Platform Based On Google Apps

With the rapid development of modern computer and communication technology, the process of globalization is accelerated, and the enterprises have to face tremendous competitive pressures. The new emerging digital devices, by which the scheme, development, production, transportation and consumption are processed in digital forms, have made extensive challenges to the traditional technologies.The networked supported cooperative work (NSCW) is an advanced form of work organization, and brings infinite vitality to the processing and application of digital content products. The NSCW is based on the workflow theory, and through goal decomposition and task management, the appropriate work arrangements are realized. With the assistance of network, the NSCW can break through the time and space constraint of the traditional forms of work. Thus, the NSCW has cut off the traditional limitations of work time, region, culture and organization, and effectively reduced the costs of products, improved the quality, and enhanced the product competitiveness.This paper firstly described the original definition of workflow, as well as its architecture, reference model, function and application; then introduced the concept, classification and advantages of NSCW, and investigated the present research and development of them. Through tracking the new technologies, this work proposed a low-cost flexible design, which is a network supported cooperative work platform based on Google Apps.This work includes the following four parts:â‘ Systematically discussed the fundamental changes of workflow management and NSCW on digital content products, and carried out a systematic and comprehensive investigation on the application status of them.â‘¡By analyzing the characteristics of network supported cooperative work of Google Apps, we proposed a low-cost and user-oriented NSCW platform based on Google Apps.â‘¢By combining the workflow management technology and NSCW theory with Google Apps, and using UML tool to perform the description of the platform architecture, we completed the description and design of process modeling, network resource application and management, mode of resource distribution and principle of example realization. â‘£Two applications based on Google Apps were used to verify the feasibility and practicability of this platform.This work shows that: it is feasible to build a stable, low-cost NSCW platform by using Google Apps and workflow management technology. This platform has broad application prospects. And it will promote the practice and popularization of NSCW.
