| In recent years, modern electronic technology, communications and computer technology developed rapidly, and the further integration of the two and more kinds of technology have been evolved into many new forms of communication and communication systems, which make it possible to realize for the Concentrator. It is impossible to satisfy the field request if we only use one communication mode, so the communication mode is the key to the Concentrator.Based on the background, the paper designed the data concentrator supporting GPRS, infrared communications and WLAN(Wireless Local Area Networks) three forms of wireless communications. They are designed and implemented independently, we can cut the communication modules and choose one or more means of communication according to the environmental needs, and the system still runs normally. We bring the WLAN technology to Concentrator, it also don't have such a design in the world nowadays. However, based on the great advantages of WLAN, I believe that it will have a broad prospects in the future.The proposed system with S3C2410X chip which is advanced 32-bit embedded microprocessors as concentrator in this paper, SDRAM and Flash memory are expanded. All this raises the hardware performance of metering concentrator to a higher level. Complete circuit design of supporting CPU, storage and communications module. Transplant BootLoader, Linux operating system and the MySQL database to ARM9.As an application of concentrator, this paper introduced the design of AMRS( Automatic Meter Reading System ). Described the overall structure of AMRS, the process of database design and the communication protocol of the lower telecommunications network. The process flow charts were introduced, which was about GPRS(), Infrared communications and WLAN modules, and this paper discussed the advantages and disadvantages of three kinds of wireless communications in this field . |
