Electric golf cart is an important branch of the small electric vehicle; it concerns vehicle engineering, motor and its driving control, electrochemistry and other critical technology which relates to it. Its unique prospect makes academic and engineering community pay more attention to it at home and abroad. The two IN-wheels Driven electric golf cart stands for one kind of small electric vehicle, which has represented one of the developing directions for further small electric vehicles, and the digital driven control is the inevitable trend in the development of the small electric vehicle.The paper begins with a brief description about EVs, electric golf cart's research and development in the status quo, then, points out the background and the basis of title legislation. Compared with several types of motor which are used for electric vehicles, the permanent magnetic brushless DC motor is one of the best driven motors for electric golf cart, and this kind of motor has good prospects for development. After then the paper introduces the semiconductor switches and the development of motor control technology. Of course, the problem in research and development of electric golf cart is also analyzed in this paper. The structure and operating principle of BLDCM is discussed next. Then the mathematical model of the motor, mechanical properties and transfer functions are presented. Afterwards the double closed-loop speed modulation control is introduced as well. By analyzing the coordinated control strategy of the electric golf cart driven by two wheel hub motors, the paper deduces two wheel hub motors'speed distribution. Since TMS320LF2407A has two events manager, it's easy to establish two rear-wheels independent driven control system by this chip. Besides the hardware and software of the control system are also introduced in this paper. And the experiments are carried on to show its validity. After all, a summary of all the work done in this thesis is presented; some feasible suggestions and primary blueprint for the future are also offered.This paper comes from related research achievements and my own experiments in motor digital control system. And the control system is proved to be effective by experiment results. Consequently this paper has certain reference value to the further studying of electric golf cart.
