Research On Multi-cell Cooperative Beamforming Technology

Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system with higher gains in channel capacity is one of the key technologies for future wireless communications.However, when MIMO system is applied to distributed multi-cell system, the cellular MIMO system becomes an interference-limited system because of the co-channel interference (CCI) which caused by other neighboring cells. CCI problem can be solved by beamforming based on base station cooperation.The thesis focus on the cooperative beamforming in multi-cell channels.In this thesis, wireless communication model and multiple antenna model are discussed firstly.Then some beamforming methods are reviewed.Finally,on the basis of a cooperative beamforming method—DBS(Distribute Bargaining Solution),the performance of DBS in multi-cell MIMO system is researched. Simulation result shows that,the performance of DBS in multi-cell MIMO system is superior to egoistic solution and altruistic solution. Besides,as the increase of the number of antennas,the sum rate is approximate grow linearly.
