| Along with the fast development of the mobile communication and IP networks,multimedia communication is growing as the most potential business in the future. In order to meet the needs of various video applications such as video-telephone, interactive multimedia and e-commerce etc, a better video encoding standard is urgent needed.Now H.264/AVC is the most leading video encoding standard and has wide used in application fields. It combines all the merits of previous video encoding standard, grows on them and proposes a lot of advanced methods and ideas. The encoding efficiency and quality are improved very much. Meanwhile in order to adaptive the various video applications needs,the rate control becomes more important. A good rate control method is very important to the picture quality.The paper analyzes the development of rate control method and the key technologies of H.264 encoding standard, and have a research about the principle of the rate control and analysis the previous classical rate control strategy, completed the following studies:Firstly,The JVT-H017 standard as a popular H.264 rate control standard.but have a consecutive frame skip in the case of low time delay and have a serious impact defects on video quality. This method is also have an effect in stoping the consecutive frame skipping .Secondly,The JVT-G012 standard is a popular rate control method. It's have a good solution about"Chiken and Egg"paradox problem .but it's have some shortcomings.such as the buffer change dramatic when have a sence change.The new measure uses a combination of MAD-based measure and PSNR-based measure to judge the frame complexity.It's applied in the basic unit layer rate control.Thirdly,In the improved JVT-G012 standard, a new linear R-Q model is introduced to adjust QP ,it's effect to balance the complexity of the algorithm.It's increased the coding efficiency whitout affect the image quality of encoder. Finally,were compared and analyzed the experimental results of the improved algorithm,which show the advantages of the new method. |
