Dual-Diversity System That Based On Cooperation Diversity And Receive Diversity

Nowadays, with the increasing of the amount of wireless communication service and the type of the data transmitted, the requirement of the speed of the data transmitted and QoS is increasing fast. Channel fading is one of the factors restrict improving the performance of communication service, so it's important to depress the impact of channel fading. To confront the impact of channel fading, people bring forward diversity and MIMO to improve the receive SNR, that transmit and receive information using multi-antenna at both the transmitter and receiver. By using these, the performance of communication system was improved obviously, but these bring forward new demand to the antenna of mobile terminal and base station and transmit power.To solve the problem of the antenna of mobile terminal, people then bring forward cooperation diversity. It will choose another terminal as a partnership when a terminal can't communicate directly to another one, then it will transmit the information that received from the resource after processing. The antenna of the terminal composing a virtual MIMO system, which can achieve transmit diversity and receive diversity. On the base of cooperation diversity and receive diversity, this paper study a new diversity called dual-diversity that suit to use in uplink communication system. Firstly, it analyzed the work principle and the course of signal processing of the system that using receive diversity and cooperation diversity separately. Then analyzed the effectt that the two diversity technology using to improve the performance of communication system by data analysis by MATLAB. Secondly, it introduced the communication system that used dual-diversity. It analyzed the impact of channel fading, the course of signal that re-transmit by the partnership and transmit by the resource received and combined by the antenna of the base. Finally, it analyzed the outage probability, SNR distributing and FER by data analysis using MATLAB, and summarized the effect of dual-diversity in improving the performance of the system.Theoretical and data analysis show that dual-diversity can improve the performance of uplink communication system. But the change of channel capacity and diversity order and how it works in downlink system needs more work to do.
