In the process of enterprise informatization, in order to improve the competitiveness, enterpriseshave built a wide variety of applications. However, these applications are isolated from eachother, and can't achieve information sharing. The formation of "information islands" has drawnincreasingly attention of enterprises. With the support from the National High-Tech. R&DProgram of China (No. 2006AA04Z157) and Zhejiang Natural Science Foundation (No.Y107360), this paper take business cooperation as object, based on the existing heterogeneoussystems integration technologies, researched and implemented ontology-based inter-enterpriseheterogeneous systems integration. Main contents including:Chapter I introduced the background and significance of our research, and overviewed theresearch status of related topics. Then, the content and architecture of this thesis was discussed.Chapter II studied the ontology-based mechanism for inter-enterprise business collaboration, and proposed the heterogeneous problem model. Based on this, a heterogeneous systemsintegration framework was put forward.Chapter III studied the construct methodology of business collaboration domain and enterpriselocal ontologies. In this section, we focused on how to build ontologies for semantic integrationof business processes, which lays the foundation for achieving semantic interoperabilitybetween enterprises.Chapter IV studied the ontology-based interoperability mechanism among enterpriseheterogeneous systems. In this chapter, we analyzed key technologies related to achievesemantic interoperability, and focused on resolving semantic conflicts through ontologymapping. Meanwhile, the semantics conversion mechanism based on ontology mapping wasdiscussed.Chapter V described the implementation of ontology-based integration platform forheterogeneous systems. We illustrated the operating principles and functional model of theplatform, as well as the implementation of each functional module.Chapter VI summarizes the whole thesis and forecasts further research directions.
