Modulation recognition technology makes great sense either for military or civilian purposes and it has a very wide application foreground.This paper is on the basis of automatic modulation recognition algorithm based on decision-theoretic approach.I learn software defined radio technology and present the architecture of the entire modulation classification system.I make simulations in Matlab language and hardware implementation simulations on kinds of key algorithms.Finally I have realized the entire automatic modulation recognition system by coding in Verilog HDL and C language on the target board with the main body are FPGA and DSP.There are 7 chapters in this paper.Chapter 1 gives a brief introduction to the current research situation and development prospect on modulation recognition technology.Chapter 2 presents the front-end preprocessing module design method. Simulations are made for Automatic Gain Control algorithm(AGC),Cascaded Integral Comb algorithm(CIC) and FIR filter with alterable bandwidth.Chapter 3 introduces CORDIC algorithm with the expanded range of convergence.I have made simulations on kinds of trigonometric and transcendental functions.Chapter 4 introduces 8 recognition parameters which are used for discriminating from analog and digital modulated signal.The recognition flowchat is presented.Chapter 5 introduces digital demodulation algorithms of AM and FM signal.Several FM digital demodulation algorithms are focused.Chapter 6 introduces the hardware architecture of the recognition system platform.The FPGA and DSP development process is introduced separately and the recognition test result is presented.Chapter 7 makes a summary of this paper,which indicates the shortcome of the work and possible research directions for further study.
