With the development of the Internet and wireless communications technology, it appears the demand of providing network service for the mobile node. For the purpose, the IETF formulates the mobile IPv6. The mobile IPv6 is that the mobile node realizes the roaming function of across different segment in the circumstance with unchanged IP address. The mobile terminal access to the new subnet due to moving, which will be reestablished link with the communications node, resulted in temporary interrupt of the communication. However, this standard mobile IPv6 protocol has some problem such as long handover delay and big throughput which can't meet the demands of real-time applications which is sensitive to delay.To improve the handover performance of the mobile node, the method of the cross router is proposed. It only needs to register to the cross router when mobile node performs handover. It reused the path from the cross router to the mobile anchor node. The handover delay is further shortened and the signaling flow reduced. In order to locate the cross router, the label information base in every router is modified, which increases two fields:the mobile node address and the time counter. When mobile node performs handover and registration, it will look up the modified the label information base when the message reaches a router every time, whether the mobile node was registered or not to confirm. The simulation is done by using the NS2 software. The simulation results show that the handover delay has been shortened and the signaling flow has been reduced. The network service quality has been improved.The mobile node's frequently moving makes the just reserved resources released, and the just released resources are reserved due to the nodes returned. In order to avoid the ping-pong's movement causing the network resources waste, the fast seamless handover mechanism based on ping-pong's movement was proposed. The mobile node forecast the time by regression analysis according to the historical data returned, the offline countdown is set according to the contrast of reserved and the used resources of establishing path. The simulation is done in the NS2, and the results are compared to the other handover mechanism. The results show that the handover delay is shortened and the handover performance is improved...
