With rapid development of the Internet and speedy exhaustion of IPv4 addresses, it is an inevitable tendency that IPv6 will substitute IPv4 as the next generation of the Internet protocol. IPv6 provides abundant IP address space, convenient network configuration, and excellent expansibility. Meanwhile, it is better in mobility, Quality of Service and security. As a coin always has two sides, IPv6 doesn't completely solve all the security problems existed in IPv4. On the contrary, the new characteristics of IPv6 bring in many new security threats and new ways of network attacking. The purpose on studying network attacking technology is to find ways make the Internet more secure. Before IPv6 is widely deployed, security problems should be found out ahead of time. In this way, the coming attacking events can be avoided. This paper analyzed the IPv6 protocol architecture first, pointed out its new characteristics. Compared with IPv4, some security problems were pointed out, especially some new kind of network attacking technology in the IPv6 environment. In order to make sure every attacking technology analyzed before does work, The IPv6 network attacking and testing system was proposed and implemented. With excellent expansibility, the system can be used to carry out different kinds of IPv6 network attack. This paper analyzed several different kinds of IPv6 network attacking technology, designed and implemented the IPv6 network attacking and testing system. The final test results indicated that the system can carry out different kinds of IPv6 network attack, and the effect of the attack is evident. This paper contributes to the further research of network attack and network security in IPv6 environment.
