| Synthetic display technique is one of the most important issue in the domain of image understand and machine vision.With the process of computer and simulation technique, image synthetic display derives more different technique s, such as image information fusion display, synthetic vision, image registration and mosaic, virtual reality and augmented reality technology and so on, and they also have got full use in special domain.The paper discusses the image fusion method and rules based on multiresolution pyramidal decomposition.Several algorithm of multi-sensor information fusion is studied in detail.Then we apply the fusion rules of energy method and maximize standard devistion-which belong to region-based fusion rule-to the images which are based on Laplacian pyramidal decomposition, and get the evaluation of fusion result.Synthetic vision, which is more applied in military domain, refers to the fusion display between peripheral situation of cockpit and some overhead information, such as character, order and database. These paper summaries the characteristic cockpit display system of new generation battle plane, which is based on synthetic vision, emphatically points out the capability of display equipment. Last, gives the forecast of future cockpit display system.Image registration and mosaic technique is the hot spots of image processing research, many new algorithms and research are springing up. A algorithm of rotated and translated image registration which is based on Fourier-Mellin transformation is discussed in the paper.Then, we give a image mosaic algorithm which is based on image rendering technique after SIFT feature detection, and the results of the simulation support the practicability of the two algorithms.The VR refers to virtual performance of reality, and the AR refers to synthetic display between reality and virtual people or object.
