Particle System is thought to be the most successful algorithm within the field of computer graphics for modeling irregular objects. Particle System adopts a set of methods which are different from the previous methods to reconstruct and render objects. A particle system is a collection of basic elements which contain many simple-shape tiny particles, which can be used to reconstruct irregular blurred objects to construct a close system. Particle Systems is divided into three categories:systems of independent particles, systems with fixed particle connections, dynamically coupled particle systems. This paper mainly analyses the systems of independent particles and systems with fixed particle connections and implements them in the virtual environment. The main researches are as below:First, according to the characters of systems of independent particles, the multi-objects particle systems algorithm based on key factors is proposed to solve the problem that under multi-objects complex circumstance, with the increase of the number of particles, the computing and storage capacity has also been increased. Through the research on systems of independent particles, on the basis of the key elements of implementation of systems of independent particles, update and render multi-objects particle systems at the cost of little spending increment. Have increased the applied range of particle systems under multi-objects complex circumstance, through the implementation of flame, the implement of different flame can be proved, including flame color, size and so on, and these implementation also can be extended to other aspects.Second, propose LOD Particle-Spring Particle systems based on physical restriction, and introduce dynamical LOD into particle systems to get more real display effect to optimize the display of particle systems. At the same time, according to the interpenetration and inter-superposition between fabric particles, do some researches on self-collision among fabric particles, once more, present researches on texture in particle systems to better simulate the fabric in real life, and implement the application under 3-D virtual environment.
