Design And Implementation Of Regiment Level Book Management System

Military regiment-level library is the distribution center for a variety of information resources, books and materials, including a lot of work about information and data management. However, many regiment-level libraries still manually manage the process of book borrowing, which makes book management chaotic and complex. Right to find, update and maintenance book management information have brought a lot of difficulties. With the increasing popularity of computer applications, practical information management systems are also extensively applied. Traditional manual methods can not match the advantages of the use of computers in library management. Computer based book management method is the important means for a regiment-level libraries to achieve the scientific and standardized management.This article focuses on regiment-level library management system construction. On the basis of software engineering ideas, it gives comprehensive and detailed investigations on management process of books of the troops, and then makes system analysis and design with structured approaches. According to the characteristics and size of the regiment-level libraries, it completes the needs analysis, functional design and database design. Key features include officers and soldiers to borrow and return books, check books to borrow and check all library books functions. Library managers can manage borrowing or returning process, stored books, and loan records.Military regiment-level library need to meet to library staff, officers and soldiers, three aspects of the needs of staff. Officers and soldiers borrow and return books from library staff, and library staff generates borrowing or returning books statement for borrowers, queries historical information through book number or army identity card; soldiers search the library of books stored in the case, officers need to query themselves information and borrowing history.Library staff can change the record of borrowing and returning, so we need to pay more attention on staffs login module. In this module staff can change the record of borrowing and returning and generate borrowing or returning books statement for borrowers。Staff can browse, query, statistic, add basic information of borrowing and delete information of returning, but can not delete or change information of borrowing. When staff deletes information of borrowing, the record of the borrowing will be deleted.Book information query module, everybody can use this module, but soliders have no other permission. In this module, users can query book information through book's name, author's name and publishing house, they can fuzzy query and precision query.Borrower's information query module, officers can query themselves' information which are the privacy. To prevent others from knowing the privacy, user need to login and they must have the name and password.On the technical side, the system is divided into four sub systems, they are login system, query system, borrowing and returning system, manage system.There are three kinds of users in login system, officers and soldiers can query the book information, administrators manage books, super administrators manage the readers, class the books, and manage the whole system.In query system users can query book information through book's name, author's name and publishing house, and they can fuzzy query.In borrowing and returning system, administrators can add and delete the records of borrowing and returning, this system divides into two interfaces: borrowing interface and returning interface.Manage system contains administrator manage system and super administrator manage system, in the former system administrators can change the books information, add new books and delete old books, in the latter system super administrator can class the books, manage the officer's information, account and overdue books.This system'realizing is a great help to regiment level library managing, users can find data and books more easily, this system can avoid losing books and disclosuring of military secrets.
