Organic filed-effect transistor (OFET) is one of the most important research subJects in organic electronics. As good development prospects and commercial value, OFET has attracted extensive interest in the past ten years. Organic semiconductor material is the primary factor which differentiates OFET from traditional field-effect transistor. As the organic semiconductor materials have many virtues, such as, a wide variety of sources, the molecular structure can be adJusted easily, many film forming process and low cost. But if we want to achieve large-scale industriazation of OFET, we should improve the stability, reduce the costs and simplify the process. Ideal semiconductor material should have many features, such as, the feasibility of preparation, the processbility of the materials and high device performance. Therefore, the design and preparation of the organic field-effect materials is very important.In this dissertation, we designed and synthesized a series of derivatives of naphthothiazole and naphthalene diimides under the guidance of the organic chemistry knowledge and the design principle of organic semiconductors.We obtain the derivatives of the naphthothiazole A-1 and A-2 by Suzuki coupling, oxidative cyclization and so on. The introduction of the long alkyl chain significantly improved the solubility of A-2 in organic solvents. A-1 and A-2 display wider range of solid state absorptions, and their HOMO energy is at-5.94 and-6.12 eV indicating good environmental stability.A new naphthalene diimides containing four thiophene groups B-1 has been designed and synthesized. The optial,electrochemistry,quantum chemistry have been studied. The absorption spectrum of B-1 in film red-shifted about 20 nm compare to that in CH2Cl2. The cyclic voltammetry experiments show the LUMO energy of B-1 is at-4.03 eV, implying B-1 is a good n-type materials potential for application in OFET.
