The Design And Implementation Of The Web-based Academic Conference Management System

With the increasing frequency of domestic and international academic exchange activities developed, the number of academic conferences of all sizes which is held at home is also increasing. This paper aims to research and development a Web-based academic conference management system. The system helps organizers to complete conference management, such as the Call for Papers, paper distribution and review, e-mail notification, paper acceptation, conference registration, conference registration, online payment for the registration fee and so on.On the basis of the in-depth study of Web software development method, the WebML model, belonged to Web development models, is used as the guiding model for the development of the system. The software framework of the system is designed by combining B/S software schema with Web software three-tier architecture. Development processes of the system, including requirements analysis, application design, implementation, testing and deployment, are then completed.The system, different from general meeting management systems, integrates paper management with conference registration and online payment. And it is easy to implement online payment based on the third-party payment platform for the system.
